Every January, television asks the same question, and Anderson Cooper asked it better than most: why do New Year resolutions collapse by February? My answer on his stage that day, with Carmen Electra standing next to me, was that they collapse because they are too big. Nobody quits a five-minute habit. Everybody quits an hour at a gym across town.
So we demonstrated the alternative live — a handful of at-home moves that require no equipment, no membership and no change of clothes. Anderson tried them. Carmen tried them. The studio audience tried them from their seats. That is the point of the design: if it cannot be done in a living room in ordinary clothes, it will not survive contact with a real week.
This is the segment to send to the friend who has restarted the same plan five years running. The moves are still exactly what I prescribe today, and they are the ground floor of the muscular-repair protocol in MORE TIME PROTOCOL.
Featuring Anderson Cooper · Carmen Electra · Jorge Cruise
