Back in 1995, right out of college, I started training at the Sporting Club Aventine in La Jolla. That's where I created the early version of what became 8 Minutes in the Morning, published in 2001 with a foreword by Anthony Robbins. Years later, when Oprah placed my method inside her Guide to Life book, everything came full circle.
Her editors and her readers put my program to the test — and the results were exactly what I'd seen for decades: "I lost more in a week with Jorge's 8 minutes than I had in months at the gym." Those simple strength moves helped women lose belly fat, increase energy, and feel strong again.
And now science confirms it: muscle is the organ of longevity. It burns calories at rest, protects joints, and dramatically reduces age-related decline.
Oprah's Guide to Life redefined my purpose. The 8-minute method she introduced to millions is still the backbone of the program I coach today.
