Mario Lopez and I did many, many segments together on the EXTRA stage at Universal Studios Hollywood — live, outdoors, in front of the CityWalk crowd, with a fresh book or a new protocol in hand almost every time.
Mario and his team always covered my books the best. They read them. They asked real questions. They made the science land for a national audience without ever making it feel like homework — and they did it season after season.
Being a contributor to their show for so many years was an honor. Mario will always be one of my favorites.
