If you’re anything like me you have a major sweet tooth, and it can come at the most inopportune times.. Like at night!
I can’t stress enough how dangerous sugar it to your health, but did you know even artificial sweeteners can lead to extreme health problems? Tooth decay, weight gain, and even cancer are all side effects of consuming artificial sweeteners.
You want to avoid any artificial sweeteners like fructose, sucrose, aspartame, and saccharin. You know the pink, blue, and yellow packets that are in most restaurants and coffee bars.
My favorite sweetener is Swerve which is an erythritol based sweetener that tastes like real sugar without any bitter after taste! Best of all it won’t spike your blood sugar or signal your insulin so it’s safe to use if you’re fasting.
I use Swerve when I wake up in the morning and have my Cruise Control coffee if I want it to taste a little sweeter like a cappuccino. I bring packets with me when I’m traveling and often sprinkle it on fruit if i get that as a side with a meal and I’m eating out.
