So many of my celebrity clients are on set all day and surprisingly at their desk all day. They want to have the best foods that allow them to stay well and avoid being sick. 


The #1 key is making sure you give your body the antioxidants you need to overcome physical and mental and emotional stress. Some of the best sources re from fruits and vegetables. 


Unfortunately, many of these choices are high in sugar which actually causes inflammation. The key is to find the best fruits and vegetables that are low in sugar and high in antioxidants.


For me, what I recommend is to always use a lemon or lime in your water throughout the day however you wish since it is rich in Vitamin C but incredibly low in sugar. 


My other superfood is the avocado. Many of my clients don’t realize that it is super fruit. And because it’s rich in healthy fats, it’s also an anti-inflammatory powerhouse. 


My recommendation is to squeeze half a lemon or lime into your water with a pinch of sat salt which is rich in magnesium and potassium if you can use Himalayan pink salt.

I would also incorporate avocado or avocado oil in your dinner tonight. It is one of the healthiest superfoods that will reduce inflammation and can work as best as certain medicines that reduce inflammation.

My kids are back to school which means back to late-night cram sessions, back to last-minute projects, and piles of homework. Stress isn’t only for adults, but kids don’t know how to communicate what stress or anxiety is usually. They present this instead as misbehaving, low attention spans and procrastination.


There are a few things that play into this:

My Favorite Soup

One of my favorite meals to indulge in the “Boost Zone”, or my eating window, is soup! It’s quick and easy to prepare, delicious, and I seem to never run out of ideas for different variations!

One of my favorites is Broccoli Cheese Soup! And I’m going to share with you my recipe below:

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Servings: 8

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons grass-fed salted butter 1 stalk celery, chopped
1 onion, chopped
11/2 pounds broccoli florets, chopped 3 cups chicken broth or bone broth 1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 3 cups Cheddar cheese, grated 1 pouch Parmesan crisps (Parm Crisps)*

Instructions:

1. In a stockpot, melt the butter over medium heat. Cook the celery and onion in the butter until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in the broccoli, then cover with the stock. Simmer for 10 minutes.

2. Reduce the heat and stir in the garlic powder and paprika and salt and pepper if desired. Add the Cheddar cheese gradually and continue to stir until melted.

3.Top with Parm Crisps.*

4. Serve and enjoy.

You can use original or jalapeño (if you want a kick) as your soup topping. I’ve become a bit of a cheesehead because of these zero- carb healthy fats. I love to put these on salads and soups, and I definitely love them for a quick snack. Just be careful! Parm Crisps are highly addictive.

I get a lot of questions about saunas and if they are good for you, what the benefits are, etc. As you have seen on my social, I am in my sauna a lot. I work in it, I go before I go to bed to calm me down, I go in when I’m stressed, even my kids love to use it! 

Although saunas have been popular for centuries, they are not usually thought of for treatments in traditional medicine. The stigma is that they have been unbearably hot, steamy rooms in which breathing can be difficult.  But the saunas of today have technologically evolved from the harsh, 200°+ rooms they originated from to a soothing, healthy heat.

Participants experienced a reduction in wrinkles and crow’s feet, as well as improved overall skin tone, including softness, smoothness, elasticity, clarity and firmness.

As a single working father of two it is so important to me that I get quality sleep at night so that I can wake up and work and be on dad mode each day.
