Overview

I call my method the Belly Fat Cure
. It's all about knowing that health is truly controlled by one critical thing...how much belly fat you have. The more belly fat you have, the more our lives become disempowered. Here are two important reasons why this happens:

1) Belly Fat is scientifically proven to make you look unattractive.
2) Belly Fat is directly connected to the biggest killers in the world:  heart disease, cancer, and type-2 diabetes.

"The Belly Fat Cure™” makes a solid case for healthful eating based on sound science. This way of eating will increase your energy, help you slow the aging process and reduce your risk for major killers like heart disease and cancer. I strongly advise you to listen to Jorge's recommendations."
--Terry Grossman, M.D. and co-author of Transcend: Nine Steps To Living Well Forever

The One Critical Key
The great news is that there is truly just one thing we need to do to get rid of belly fat quickly -- and there is NO dieting or exercise required; NO pills or surgeries and NO calorie counting ever.  It's all about keeping insulin low.  Why?  High insulin causes your body to store belly fat and lock it in place. What's the key to keeping insulin low? Eating the right amounts of sugar and carbs. That is what my Belly Fat Cure program is all about.  Start to discover my Belly Fat Cure today by joining my FREE Belly Fat Cure email club.  And on Dec 28, 2009 (nationwide), pick up my new book from  Hay House by the same name: "The Belly Fat Cure: Discover the Carb Swap System and lose 4 to 9 pounds every week." That book will change the way we all eat -- without giving up things we love like chocolate or ice cream. Great ready for great-tasting food that is actually healthy, too!

Starting very soon I will be doing a one-time only Belly Fat Cure online LIVE VIDEO  12-week coaching program for a very limited number of people. You need to be part of my FREE email club to get that invitation to ensure yourself a spot.  More information on the price and dates soon.  Keep an eye out for an email from me.

The History of Misunderstanding
Many people ask me why conventional experts think that the whole problem is that we eat too much and don't exercise enough; that we just need to count calories.  What this video to learn the truth about how insulin is everything -- not calories.

What about exercise?
Once you have the Belly Fat Cure method down (and you've lost most of your belly fat), I suggest adding in exercise to strengthen your heart and tone your muscles. However, I no longer recommend exercise for weight loss. Use exercise to reduce stress, tone, and stay strong.

My original program is called 8 Minutes in the Morning, and my advanced program is called The 12-Second Sequence. Click here to try them now.

What about eating every 3 hours?
I wrote a book series a few years back called the 3-Hour Diet. You even may be even be a member of my online club.  While you can still join that club and the book is everywhere -- you need to know it was truly designed for people who are very disciplined and organized.  My Belly Bat Cure plan is much simpler to follow and requires no timing or scheduling.  I recommend everyone start with the Belly Fat Cure plan first.

Dear Jorge, After reading your article in the Costco Newsletter in March, which literally fell out of the mailbox into my hands, I downloaded the Belly Fat Cure from your website. I turned 65 in February, ate half of my birthday cake (A hunk larger than my head!) and felt like type II diabetes was lurking around every corner. I cleaned the pantry and started April 1st. I should have sent a photo and measurements, but didn't. So, here they are 51" around the middle, and 234 lbs. It is now September, and my waist is 44" and my weight is 190 lbs. I lost enough belly fat and body size that I have gone from a 5X to 1X in clothing. I started walking every morning and am up to a mile and a half from a slow crawl to the end of my very short street. I don't go very far, but I'm pretty fast. It feels great to get my heart rate up and feel out of breath from doing something instead of huffing and puffing getting off of the couch. I still have a way to go, but I thank you for saving my life! My children and grandchildren think you have given me a lot more years to be with them. Thank you again from the bottom of my healthier heart...Patti Stammer

I saw you on the Tyra show as well today. This was the first I had heard of this program. I knew sugar was stored in you fat, so have been trying to stay away from starches and cut my sugar down ALOT. ....But didn't realize I had to cut it down to 15 grams a day !?! .... I was shocked how I have been taking in so much sugar. Do you have a print out of your daily log of sugar intake? I am going ot start this program now. So excited about it I actully took 1/2 the day off from work to get things changed in my house and kitchen to get going inthe morning.
I want to do your 12 week challenge. I am 5'4" 209 pounds and haven't measured my big over lapped belly in a long time.... Afraid of the results. I want to lose the weight and be back to 140 pds. Help me. I can not wait to start !!!!! ......... Davisa Golding

I have been trying to comprehend what you are saying and how to apply that to my family's life especially my daughter who is 15 and 5'3" and 230lbs. I have 3 older boys that have never had a weight problem and one of my sons is a juvenile diabetic so I am not unfamiliar with insulin. Since my daughter was 8 years old I have asked the doctor continually about her weight and something wasn't right. We have had nutional counseling through KidShape and we did learn quite a few new things. This poor girl watches everything she eats, looks at nutrition info on every product we buy. She has done school sports, soccer and basketball and loves sports. Last year her basketball coach told us she was struggling to much and would not be able to play her during any more games. She was heartbroken. She is now on byetta 10 mg 2 shots a day, 1000mg of metformin twice a day and we still are not losing any weight. She is insulin resistant/hyperinsulinemia. If we can get approved we are considering the drastic measure of gastric bypass. We would love to learn more about your plan and how it might help us.

I would love to join your 12 week program. I am 5'4" and 198 lbs. I have tried everything including joining the "other" weight loss programs. Even being on metformin has done nothing for me. Nothing seems to help. I did try your belly fat cure for a short while and it seemed to work but then things came to an abrupt halt so I moved on to something else. I believe what you have to say and am now ready to make it my only commitment - can you help me?

I am 50 years old, 5ft 8 and 200 lbs. I have been on hormone therapy for 5 years to help eleviate the symptoms of early onset menopause.
In have always had a small waist, flat stomach, curvy hips and ample thighs and bottom. I now have a belly along with the full hips, ample thighs and bottom.

I am very interested in insulin resistance and how it manifests in the body. I am a sugar and carbo addict. I excercise regularly and am relitivley fit. I don't like the way I look and would like to lose 20 lbs but I don't seem to last long on any restrictive diet plans.

Maybe your 12 week plan is a good fit for me?

I see the other sweeteners in your videos and assume they can be found at the local grocery. Am I right? If not , where can they be found? I, too, am a carb addict and seem to crave carbs continuously. Do certain foods trigger this or what does? Also, how do you measure the sugar and carb intake accurately?

September 19, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBrenda

Hi, Jorge,
Can't wait to learn about your formula--was it the ss count? --how much sugar and ...? Is there a chart somewhere I can access which explains the ss count of foods?
Have about 60 pounds to lose and also need to get my husband on the same plan.
Thanks,
Marianne

I want in the 12 week program! I've been dieting and exercising religously for 3 mos and have only lost 12 lbs, which would be fine if I didn't need to lose 50 more. I'm 52 and estrogen dominant. Help!

How do you measure the sugar and carbs? Is there a formula?

September 29, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBarb

Hi, Jorge,
I am also excited about the Belly Fat Cure program. I read about it in the Costco Connection in April, but have just now started the program along with my husband. I was watching the video about what snack foods could be enjoyed and noticed you were using a small booklet to see the different items and the s/c amounts. Where can I get one of those? Will it be included in your new book? It would be so handy to have a small reference guide to take when shopping.(or better yet someone develop an "app for that: for Ipod use} Thank you for developing this program.

Dear Jorge,

I've tried your 8-minutes-in-the-morning and often walk/ride my bike and sometimes interval walk/run.
Last Thanksgiving-ish I had blood work done and the Dr. said all my labs were awesome except my hormones which were non-existent! I'm 52, a mother of eight, and an RN. I'm about 5'5" and weigh about 179. I've been trying to lose weight since my 11-yr-old was born to get back into my size 8's, but have had little success. I fluctuate about 10 lbs either way. It's interesting what you say about sugar 'cause I was a salt person until my son was born and now eat quite a number of sweets--often every day. I need to do this! Thanks for the info...

Dear Jorge,
I am 5'4" and weigh 110 lbs. IYears ago I used to be overweight from binging, my solution has been the core plan from Weight Watchers. I eat very healthy meals, my carb sources are oatmeal, yams, lentils, beans, fruits, yogurt, milk etc... I eat a lot of green leafy vegetables too. I do eat low fat, but include 2 tsp of healthy oil per day--per core plan. My only "splurge" is a daily energy/protein/granola bar--I try to go for the healthier ones like maya bars with all natural ingredients, and at all costs I avoid corn syrup sweetened ones. Just out of curiosity I calculated my carbs yesterday which came out to about double what you are recommending. Are you saying I am not eating healthy? I am very satisfied and never feel hungry.
Thanks, Julia

Julia,

you said your only "splurge" was a granola bar. I think Jorge's plans include more options for "sweets" like ice cream and brownies. does your plan have this on it? Just wondering. i'm not real familiar with Weight Watchers.

Do you have to eat soluble and insoluble fibre to lose false belly fat. Just wondering if I took psyillium husk for my daily fibre intake, would this be effective enough or would I need 30 grams of insoluble fibre to get rid of false belly fat ?

If I eat 2 eggs a day would that not make my cholesterol too high?
